INDIANAPOLIS - William Jewell fifth year guard Jordan Jermain has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week in men's basketball, announced by the league office on Monday. 

Jermain averaged 28.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 3.5 assists while leading the Cardinals to wins over Southwest Baptist and rival Rockhurst over the weekend. The senior shot 47% from the field, 33% from three and 69% from the free throw line while adding two steals and playing all 80 minutes. In the win over SBU, he reached the 2,000 point milestone, becoming the fourth player in program history to do so. On Saturday in the victory over Rockhurst he scored 10 straight points in the final two-plus minutes to bring Jewell from down six to back in front for good, including hitting a three pointer that tied the career record (306). This is Jermains second career Player of the Week honor and the first for the Cardinals this season.
