Cardinals Win Three Event Titles at the GLVC Indoor Championships

INDIANPOLIS - The William Jewell track and field teams participated in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships where the Cardinal women finished eighth and the men were 10th.

Jewell brought home three individual conference titles and two additional All-GLVC honors. Caroline Mayes won the women's 60 meter hurdles for the second consecutive year while Cydney Banks took gold in the women's shot put after also winning the event in 2023. On the men's side, Lukas LePage became the first Cardinal since 2001 to win a conference title in the pole vault.

WOMEN

  • Weight Throw: Cydney Banks picked up All-GLVC honors with a third place mark of 18.67 meters, second best all-time. Bobbie Pollard was also tenth in the event at 15.22 meters. 
  • 400 Meters: Caprice Robertson was 15th in her GLVC debut, crossing the line at 1:00.82, improving her sixth all-time mark.
  • 60 Meter Hurdles: Caroline Mayes won the event for the second straight year with a time of 8.66.
  • High Jump: Lillian Bogard was seventh in the high jump with a leap of 1.52 meters.
  • Shot Put: Cydney Banks brought home gold for the second time in her career with a toss of 14.59 meters.
  • Pole Vault: Sophia McCune finished in the top-10 with a mark of 2.83 meters. 


MEN

  • Pole Vault: LePage hit a vault of 4.61 meters on his third attempt to win the first conference title for the Cardinals, in the event, since 2001.
  • Weight Throw: Bradan Dickinson earned All-GLVC honors with a second place finish with a school record 19.55 meters. Keonne Gladden was also tenth with a throw of 14.62 meters.
  • 60 Meter Hurdles: Mason Sullivan finished 12th overall with a time of 9.03.
  • Long Jump: Terran Mitchell was 14th for the Cardinals with a leap of 6.24 meters.
  • 400 Meters: Connor Hull was tenth in the field, finishing in 49.56.
  • 60 Meters: Daniel Williams placed 15th at 7.04.
  • Shot Put: Dickinson picked up a sixth place mark with a throw of 14.87 meters, the tenth best mark all-time. 
  • 800 meters: Sincere Davis placed 13th overall with a time of 1:59.05, which ranks ninth in program history.
  • Heptathlon: Adam Hoffman finished sixth in the multi-event with 4,084 points, including third in the 1000 meters. 
  • 4x400 Relay: The team of Konner Poynter, Sincere Davis, Daniel Williams, and Connor Hull placed placed fifth with a time of 3:23.22, eighth best all-time. 
     

UP NEXT

The Cardinals will await the national qualifying selections to be announced next week. Jewell has three athletes who have hit NCAA provisional marks during the 2025 season.
