INDIANAPOLIS - The postseason honors for the 2024-25 Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Men's Basketball season, were announced by the league office on Wednesday. William Jewell fifth year guard
Jordan Jermain picked up All-GLVC First Team honors while
Jason Thirdkill, Jr. was named to the All-Defensive Team. The All-Conference awards are nominated and voted on by league coaches, who, per GLVC Bylaws, are not permitted to vote for their own players.
Jermain earns his fourth career All-Conference honor, including third straight First Team nod. On the season, he was second in the league with 21.3 points per game while hitting 84 three point shots on a 36% clip. Additionally, he was tops on the team with 2.5 assists per game to go with 4.6 rebounds and nearly one steal per night. He scored in double figures in all 28 games this season, including 15 with 20-plus points, highlighted by a career high 45-point output against Indianapolis. During the season, the fifth year senior broke the school record for career minutes played, career three point field goals, and single game three point field goals.
Thirdkill, Jr. earns his first nod to the All-Defensive Team after finishing sixth in the GLVC in blocks per game and 26 total rejections. The junior added 17 points and a team high 7.2 rebounds per game while shooting 52% from the floor.
For the fourth year in a row, William Jewell earned the sport's GLVC James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Team Award, while Luke Jordan was the recipient of the team Sportsmanship honor which recognizes students who have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior were also recognized. These individuals must be in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting. The honorees from full-time GLVC member institutions are now eligible to become one of their school's two Spalding Sportsmanship Award winners, which will be announced at the end of the academic year.
