WARRENSBURG, Mo. - The William Jewell track and field teams took part in the Outdoor Mule Relays, hosted by Central Missouri, this weekend where one school record fell and two launched into the GLVC lead.
WOMEN
- Hammer Throw: Cydney Banks finished seventh overall to 50.87, fourth best all-time and third in the GLVC this season. Bobbie Pollard posted a throw of 43.36 and Jada Alfaro, 41.95 meters.Â
- Pole Vault: Sophia McCune placed among the top-15 with a 3.00 meter vault, good for 11th in the GLVC this year.
- Shot Put: Banks put up the seventh best all-time mark at 14.44 meters, which ranks top in the GLVC and 14th in Division II.
- High Jump: Lillian Bogard was sixth in the field with a leap of 1.53 meters, seventh best in the conference this season.
- Discus: Banks improved upon her third place spot among all-time performances with a toss of 44.61 meters which ranks second in the conference.
- 100 Meters: Caroline Mayes crossed with a time of 12.97 while Camryn Thomas followed at 13.12 and Kennedy Vernon at 13. 34.
- 1500 Meters: Landen Wilson finished with a time of 5:19.85.
- 400 Meters: Rylee Thompson posted a mark of 1:06.62 to lead the Cardinals.
- 400 Meter Hurdles: Morgan Mayo crossed the line at 1:13.14 in the 400 hurdles.
- 200 Meters: Thomas led three Cardinals in the event with a time of 27.06, followed by Vernon at 27.97 and Thompson 28.50.Â
MEN
- Pole Vault: Lukas LePage picked up a first place finish in the pole vault with a 4.75 meter performance, tops in the GLVC this season.
- Discus: Bradan Dickinson posted a mark of 36.71 meters.
- Javelin: Adam Hoffman sent the javelin 36.21 meters to place 34th.
- Triple Jump: Terran Mitchell finished 21st in the event at 12.32 meters
- 100 Meters: Connor Hull crossed with a time of 10.87, good for eighth all-time while Chance Pinkston finished at 11.11.
- 400 Meters: Konner Poynter entered his name to the top-10 all-time performers list with a 50.24 time.
- 800 Meters: Sincere Davis set a new school record with a mark of 1:54.82 to rank top-5 in the GLVC this spring.Â
- 200 Meters: Hull improved on his top-10 mark in program history with a 21.70 time to place sixth and ninth in the GLVC, while Poynter crossed at 22.41 and Kain Sourbeer at 22.85.
