LIBERTY, Mo – The William Jewell women's soccer team played to a 3-3 draw Friday evening with the University of Indianapolis. With this result, Jewell is now 0-4-33overall and 0-2-2 in the GLVC. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Jewell struck late in the first half: Lux Sands scored twice with two left-footed shots. Her first was in the 41' minute in the top left corner, and then three minutes later a skimmer in the bottom left corner, giving the Cardinals a 2-0 lead going into halftime
• UIndy responded in the second half with two goals to even the match at 2-2.
• With less than 10 minutes left a penalty kick gave the Greyhounds a 3-2 lead, but with a minute left in the game senior Megan Giffin found the back of the net so Jewell could escape with a 3-3 tie.

 
KEY STATS

• Jenna Skeeters had four saves and allowed three goals.
• Sands had her second two-goal game of the season, while Giffin scored her first career goal.
