INDIANAPOLIS - The Willam Jewell women's basketball team got off to a slow start offensively and could not recover, falling 65-43 on Thursday at UIndy to drop to 0-14 overall and 0-8 in conference play. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• With Jewell leading 7-4 in the early minutes of the game the Greyhounds went on a 17-2 run over the final nearly seven minutes of the first quarter to lead 21-9 after the opening period. 
• The Cardinals and UIndy played even in the second frame, both scoring nine points while the Greyhounds narrowly won the third quarter, 15-11, as Jalea Price scored five points in the frame.
• UIndy expanded their lead to as many as 28 in the fourth quarter before Jacee Peterson's final bucket made it 65-43 at the buzzer. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• Syderah Farmer scored a team high 13 points with Price adding a dozen. 
• Rylee Thompson grabbed six rebounds while Peterson and Taryn Jacobs each had five. 
• Jewell forced 22 Greyhound turnovers, leading to 18 fast break points.
