LIBERTY, Mo. - The William Jewell women's basketball team fell 105-55 on Thursday night to Illinois Springfield to drop to 1-24 on the season and 1-18 in conference play. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Illinois Springfield came out of the gates hot, shooting over 70% from the floor even better than from behind the three point line, to lead 27-12 after 10 minutes. The Prairie Stars got two free throws to close the half having grown their advantage to 41. 
• Jewell opened the second half with a 14-5 run after a three from Jacee Peterson forced a UIS timeout. The Prairie Stars finished the game by outscoring Jewell 40-20 as they cruised to their 10th GLVC win. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• Alex McGarrah finished with a team high 16 points while Jalea Price added 11. 
• Maja Komaszynska grabbed eight rebounds with Taryn Jacobs pulling down seven.
