SALT LAKE CITY - The William Jewell women's lacrosse team fell to Westminster University (Utah) on Wednesday 20-7 to cap off their two-game West coast trip. The Cardinals fall to 1-5 on the season following the loss.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• Down 6-0 in the first quarter Elle Eastwood assisted on a Kuepper Trinkel goal, followed with her own goal less than a minute later to cut the lead to four. Eastwood then scored her second goal of the day with the Cardinals lone goal in the second quarter to go into the break down 10-3.
• Toryn Podschwit and Ella Childress each found the back of the net in the third quarter, but the Griffins scored six putting the game away. Jewell scored a pair late in game but it was not enough as Jewell went 0-2 in Utah with a final score of 20-7.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• After Brynn Devers started for Jewell, Claire Eastwood clocked a majority of the minutes, tallying seven saves.
• Elle Eastwood took two shots, both goals, while Jewell took 12 shots collectively and allowed 47.
