LIBERTY, Mo. - The William Jewell men's lacrosse team suffered a 13-5 loss at the hands of Indianapolis on Saturday afternoon. The Cardinals fall to 6-4 on the season and 0-2 in conference play with the loss. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Greyhounds took an commanding lead early, scoring eight first quarter goals, compared to just two by the Cardinals. Jewell settled in defensively, allowing only five the rest of the way, but the offense struggled to catch up.
• After a UIndy turnover, Aaron Maline scored on a feed from Josh Bertram in the second quarter to make it 11-3 at the break. 
• Nathaniel Leroux scored his 16th goal of the season in the third quarter while Seth Heath added a score in the fourth but it was too little, too late, despite not allowing the Greyhounds a goal in the final 14-plus minutes. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• Head finished with two goals on seven shots on goal while Carson Wright had four attempts on goal. 
• Marcus Damsgaard and Josh Hart each caused three turnovers with the latter picking five ground balls. 
• Jewell forced UIndy into 21 turnovers, their highest total in GLVC play this season.
• Isaac Kessler made 18 saves in cage.
