ST. JOSEPH, Mo – Beginning the first of four road games in a row, William Jewell women's lacrosse fell to Missouri Western on Friday, 22-11. The loss places Jewell at 1-9 and with a 0-3 GLVC record.
 
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• Jewell got on the board first courtesy of Rosie Grebe just three minutes into the game. Minutes later the Cardinals ripped off three goals in just over 90 seconds to take a 4-1 lead.
• After ending the first quarter down 6-5, Miranda Menousek was the lone Cardinal to find the net in the second quarter – heading into halftime down 11-7.
• Kuepper Trinkel began the scoring in the third, but Jewell allowed 11 second-half goals to the Griffons, ultimately falling 22-11

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• Brynn Devers got the start, collecting five saves in the loss while Claire Eastwood notched eight in her 40 minutes in goal.
• Sara Polovina, Ella Childress, Menousek, and Trinkel all had two-goal games for Jewell.
• The Cardinals committed 20 turnovers to just five by Missouri Western.
