INDIANAPOLIS – The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) announced Tuesday that 4,768 student-athletes have garnered Academic All-GLVC distinction for the 2025-26 season. Among the honorees are 275 William Jewell student-athletes across 19 sports.
Three Jewell teams recorded program highs as football (47), men's lacrosse (22), and women's lacrosse (12) each improved over previous program bests set last year. Meanwhile, men's soccer tied their all-time high with 26 selections while baseball, men's swimming, and volleyball each finishing just one shy of their record number. Now a GLVC sponsored sport, women's wrestling also gained their first-ever honorees with seven.
The Academic All-GLVC honor is bestowed upon student-athletes who meet a cumulative GPA of 3.30 over the course of the academic year at the institution.
The list of honorees across the league features students from the following sports: baseball (466), men's basketball (121), women's basketball (177), women's bowling (61), men's cross country (168), women's cross country (145), football (388), men's golf (103), women's golf (80), men's lacrosse (186), women's lacrosse (152), men's soccer (398), women's soccer (352), softball (258), STUNT (119), men's swimming and diving (194), women's swimming and diving (153), men's tennis (85), women's tennis (81), men's track and field (324), women's track and field (310), men's volleyball (89), women's volleyball (196), men's wrestling (99), and women's wrestling (62).
Not counting the 132 honorees from the league's 13 associate members, the 4,636 honorees from 15 full-time GLVC members averaged out to a record 309 selections per school. Over the course of the last five years, the per-school averages have been 285.7 (2024-25), 279.6 (2023-24), 256 (2022-23), 250.1 (2021-22), and 257.5 (2020-21).
