INDIANAPOLIS - William Jewell College kicker Frankie Kapetanovich has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Special Teams Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday. McKendree sophomore quarterback Kendrick Lyons and Quincy linebacker Eddie Johnson were selected as the Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week.

Kapetanovich helped the Cardinals to a 27-17 win on the road at Southwest Baptist after nailing a 50-yard field in the second quarter to put Jewell on the board. The kick was the first attempt of his career and landed just two yards shy of the program's NCAA era record while marking the longest in the GLVC this season. The freshman added 338 yards on six kickoffs, including three touchbacks. This is the first Player of the Week honor of Kapetanovich's career and the first for the Cardinals since Bleu Renfrow in 2025.
