Jason Daugherty enters his first season on the Jewell baseball staff after a successful stint as a high school coach.

• Spent 21 years as a high school head coach with stops in Stockton, El Dorado Springs, Walnut Grove, Springfield Catholic and most recently Nixa High School with a record of 371-134
• Led Springfield Catholic to a 2014 state championship, going 28-2 overall
• 2014 Midwest Region and Missouri Coach of the Year
• 2014 National Coach of the Year Finalist
• Was the No. 1 ranked team in the state and No. 36 nationally in 2019 (Nixa)
• Led his programs to a combined three final four appearances, seven conference championships and five district titles
• Spent 24 years as a club coach in the Southwest Missouri Collegiate League and NBC Club Director
• Sent nine players to the Division I level with four drafted by Major League Baseball
• Has organized numerous camps, showcases, fundraising opportunities and studied under Ron Woolforth at the Texas Baseball Ranch
• NSPA Certified Speed and Agility Coach
• Driveline Certified Instructor

• Competed collegiately at Southwest Baptist University as an outfielder and relief pitcher
• Two time Gold Glove winner
• Served as a team captain

• Earned his bachelor's degree in biology and pre-medicine at Southwest Baptist, a master's degree in educational administration at Missouri State and a specialist degree in administration through Arkansas State
• Married to wife Renee and is the father of daughters Brooklyn, Karsyn and Jeter
