Jason Middleton is entering his tenth season as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at William Jewell College in 2021 working primarily with pitchers, as well as coordinating the William Jewell baseball showcases and camps.


Prior to Jewell
• Middleton comes to Jewell after serving as assistant coach at James Madison University for three seasons where he worked with the hitters and outfielders, winning two regular season and one Colonial Athletic tournament title.
• In 2011, the James Madison offense led the NCAA Division-I in scoring and slugging percentage  and were in the top 10 in batting average, on base percentage, triples, home runs, walks, and stolen bases.
• Jake Lowery (2011) won the Johnny Bench Award for the nation's best catcher, as well as the National Collegiate Hitter by Collegiate Baseball and was drafted in the fourth round in the MLB draft by the Cleveland Indians.
• Prior to JMU, Middleton was an assistant at Redlands Community College in El Reno, OK for two seasons where he worked with the hitters, outfielders, and was heavily involved in recruiting.
• While at Redlands, he helped the Cougars won two regular season championships and one Bi-State tournament championship, going 85-25.
• Middleton also spent time as a student assistant at University of North Alabama in during the 2006 season.
• He got his coaching start at Kansas City Kansas Community College.


Playing Career2
• Middleton played at Longview Community College until an elbow injury ended his playing career.


Personal
• He earned a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma.
• He resides in Blue Springs, Mo. with his wife, Ami, their daughter, Abigail and son Max.
