Chuck Lliteras

Chuck Lliteras enters his fifth season at William Jewell in 2019 and his first as the interim head coach.

Jewell Highlights
• As the Defensive Coordinator for the Cardinals in 2018 he led Jewell to a 100-point improvement from the previous season, including holding the defending national champion and top ranked Texas A&M-Commerce to just three second half points.
• He mentored three All-GLVC performers including defensive back Donte Colum who posted an 82-yard pick against Commerce which was the eighth longest in league history. 
• Lliteras also served as the Defensive Coordinator in 2006-2007. 


Prior to Jewell
• Lliteras' college experience includes stops at Fort Benning, Union College, William Penn, Chadron State, and Garden City Community College where he helped the Broncs to the 2016 NJCAA National Championship.
• He also has 25 years of experience as a head coach at the high school level and was a 2013 inductee into the Missouri High School Football Coaches Hall of Fame.
• He also spent several years as an assistant coach in Kansas and Nebraska.
• Off the field, he has served as the president of the Missouri High School Football Coaches Association.


Personal
• A native of Hemingford, Neb., he earned degrees in physical education/recreation and physical education/health as well as a master's degree in education from Chadron State College.
• Lliteras is a United States Military veteran who has served two tours in the US Army.
• He and his wife of 44 years, Kris, have two sons, Matt and Jeremy, along with eight grandchildren.
