Jerome Riase spent two seasons as the defensive coordinator for the Cardinals in the spring and fall of 2021.Â

• Has mentored four All-GLVC performers in two seasons, including three first teamers
• Defense ranked fourth in the league in pass defense, sacks and interceptions in spring of 2021
• Team was tops in the GLVC in turnover margin, gaining seven total in three games in first season
• Spent one season at Morehead State University where served as the defensive line coach and oversaw football operations while coaching a first team All-Pioneer League selection in Vaughn Taylor
• Served one season at Georgia Tech during which time he led his team to a second-place finish in the ACC Coastal Division and an appearance at the 2018 Quick Lane Bowl
• The Yellow Jackets led the ACC and were 12
th nationally in turnovers forced during that season and also ranked fourth in rush defense
• Spent time at Wofford College, Butler University, and Ashland UniversityÂ
• Led Wofford defense in the Southern Conference in rush defense and finished second in scoring defensive and total defense while coaching an All-American and helping the Terriers to the FCS Quarterfinals.
• Recruited and coached two-time All-American Jamie Meder at Ashland before winning back-to-back Pioneer League titles at Butler
• Graduated from Miami University with a bachelor's degree in psychology
• Has one son, Jerome, Jr. Â
