Kevin Corless brings 30-plus years experience to the sideline and will begin his first season as the defensive coordinator for the Cardinals in 2024.

• Mentored two defensive All-GLVC performers, including Adam Callahan, who led the league with 109 tackles
• Led a defense that topped the GLVC with 11 forced fumbles and was third with 21 sacks
• Spent the last two years as the linebackers coach at Buffalo where he mentored two All-Conference performers and helped earn a Camellia Bowl victory
• Served as the linebackers coach at Samford, Army West Point, Georgia Southern and Arkansas State for a combined 19 seasons
• With Arkansas State he was named the Defensive Coordinator of the Year by Rivals.com in 2009, capping a four-year span finishing first or second in each of the league's five major defensive statistical categories which included a win over Texas A&M
• Also spent time at Northwestern State, winning two Southland Conference titles and advancing to three FCS playoffs in 1997, 1998 and 2001
• Has mentored seven players who were selected to the NFL draft since 1998
• Started his career at Northwest Missouri State as a graduate assistant before moving on to Montana Tech where he served as special teams coordinator and led the Orediggers from three straight winless seasons to a 1992 NAIA playoff
