Ryan Lopez enters his first season with the Cardinals in 2019 and will be responsible for outside linebackers as well as video coordination.

• Lopez comes to Jewell after five seasons at the University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth, Kan. where he worked with linebackers.
• At Saint Mary he helped lead the Spires to a program-best record of 8-3 in 2016.
• He also mentored the 2016 Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Year and a two-time All-American in 2017 and 2018.
• Lopez began his career as an outside linebacker at Cabrillo College in Aptos, Calif.
• He transferred to the University of Saint Mary where he played his final two seasons for the Spires.
• He earned his bachelor's degree in sports management with an emphasis in marketing and a master's in sport administration with an emphasis in education both from Saint Mary.
• Lopez is married to wife Jessica and resides in Leavenworth, Kan.
