Andrew Briones entering his third overall year with the men's lacrosse program and was named the head coach on May 23 after serving in the interim role during the 2025 season.

• Helped lead the Cardinals to a 7-8 overall record in their inaugural season
• Mentored All-GLVC performer Zach Johnson, the first postseason honor in program history
• Won first game as a collegiate coach on February 9 against Chowan University
• Spent two seasons at Lincoln Memorial as a graduate assistant
• Part of a coaching staff that lead the LMU program to a 7-9 record and SAC playoff appearance in 2023 after going winless two seasons prior
• Mentored one All-Conference player

• Was a team captain and four-year letterwinner for Newberry College, helping start the program in 2017
• Graduated as the program leader with 43 games played
• Was a finalist for the 2021 SAC Scholar Athlete of the Year in men's lacrosse
• Member of the Summerland Honors Program
• Was the team MVP and All-District performer at Friendswood High School where he also played soccer

• A native of Friendswood, Texas
• Earned a bachelor's degree in digital marketing and business administration and sports management from Newberry College in 2021
• Holds a master's degree in business administration and sports management in 2023 from Lincoln Memorial
