Kevin Obungu enters his second season with the William Jewell women's basketball program in 2022-2023.

• Obungu has spent the last three seasons with the women's basketball program at Pittsburg State University, helping the Gorillas to a 52-29 mark during that span.
• He helped lead the team to 2019 appearance in the NCAA Tournament and mentored 10 All-MIAA honorees.
• His primary roles included film analysis and scouting, team travel, recruiting, academic progress and personal development along with practice plans and in-game strategy.
• He also aided in coordinating one of the largest high school team camps in the country with more than 150 teams annually.
• Prior to his work with the women's program, Obungu was a volunteer assistant on the men's side from 2014-2018.
• He worked under former National Coach of the Year Kim Anderson as the Gorillas won their first MIAA Tournament Championship in 2015.
• He assisted with film breakdown and analysis, off-season training, equipment and camps..

• A native of Ann Arbor, Michigan, he completed his bachelor's degree in biology at Old Dominion University in 2012 followed by a master's in health and human performance and recreation at Pittsburg State in 2014.
