The William Jewell College softball team went on the road to open the 2012 season and did so in dominating fashion with a 16-0 win in 5 innings over Central Christian College in Oklahoma City, Okla., on Friday afternoon.

Senior Amanda Storm was one for two with two runs scored first-year player Kelsey Teneycke was a perfect two for two with two RBI's  and sophomore catcher Ashlee Nation was one for one with a double and two RBI's. 

Senior Maria Buckingham pitched five scoreless innings with seven strikeouts and was also one for two at the plate for the Cardinals. 
William Jewell, 1-0 on the season will wrap up their road swing with two games in Oklahoma City this afternoon.
