Truman State University got out to a 35-0 halftime lead in Great Lakes Valley Conference football Saturday at Jewell and never looked back on the way to a 45-7 win.

Jewell (1-5, 0-2 in GLVC), struggling to defend the run in previous games, held Truman to 150 yards rushing. Â The passing defense, though, allowed 258 yards and three touchdowns.
Offensively, the Cardinals managed 123 yards in offense, with a 64 yards in the air and 59 yards on the ground. Â Truman also blocked two Cardinal punts, one resulting in a touchdown for the Bulldogs (4-2, 20-0).
The Cardinals will play the University of Indianapolis next Saturday at Greene Stadium at 1:00.
