The William Jewell College volleyball team dropped a 3-2 match to Tiffin University in their third match of the seventh annual Mizuno GLVC/GLIAC Crossover tournament on Saturday.
The Cards fell by set scores of 26-24, 28-26, 20-25, 25-27 and 13-15. Â Â
Jewell had a shot to win the match in the fourth game as they led 25-24 but Tiffin was able to string together three straight points to force a deciding fifth game. The fifth set was a very hard fought battle and went back and forth and Jewell tied things up at 13-13 before Tiffin put the match away with two straight points.Â
Jewell goes to 3-17 on the year while Tiffin improves to 10-10.
The Cards were led by
Christina Pratt who knocked home a game high 25 kills with a .649 percentage.Â
Kelsey Wagner had 15 kills and 19 digs while
Kaylee Marquardt finished with 13 kills and 20 digs.Â
Amy Lindhorst again led the Cards in assists with 29.  Â
The Cards will return home to face Wayne State College (Neb.) on Tuesday, October 21 at 7:00 p.m.
