The William Jewell College volleyball team was shut out 3-0 in Great Lakes Valley Conference action against Lewis University on Saturday at the Mabee center. Jewell now stands 3-19 overall and 1-11 in the GLVC while Lewis improves to 18-4 overall and 10-2 in the GLVC.
Jewell fell by set scores of 25-22, 25-23, and 25-23 and held leads deep into each set only to see Lewis come back to win by narrow margins in each set.
Kaylee Marquardt led the Cards with 11 kills and 18 digs.
Amy Lindhorst had 28 assists and
Lesley Iron finished tied for the team lead with Marquardt in digs with with 18.
Jewell will continue their home stand tomorrow as they host University of Wisconsin-Parkside at 1:00 p.m.
