The William Jewell College volleyball team dropped their 8th straight contest falling 3-0 to McKendree University on Sunday afternoon in Lebanon, Ill.  Jewell falls to 3-23 overall and 1-15 in GLVC action while the Bearcats improves to 16-11 overall and 10-6 in the GLVC. 

McKendree won by set scores of 25-17, 25-13 and 27-25. 

The Cards showed toughness in fighting off three match points in the third set to tie the set 24-24 before the Bearcats closed out the match.

Jewell was led by Christina Pratt with four kills and two digs.  Lauren Holm led the team in digs with 14.

The Cards will return home on Friday to continue GLVC play against Drury University.  The match against the Panthers is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.
