Senior pitcher Rachel Hayden of Anna, Illinois no-hit Southwest Baptist University on Wednesday afternoon 5-0 in the first game of the non-conference doubleheader in Liberty, Missouri.

Hayden (3-3) walked three and hit two in her seven innings of work.  She struck out three,  forced six ground ball outs and 11 fly ball outs, and was aided by a running catch in the left-centerfield gap by Ashley Barrett with two outs in the seventh inning.

The Cardinals had seven hits in the game, including an inside-the-park home run by Barrett in the first inning and a solo shot by Faith song.

The second game of the double header saw the Cardinals fall 6-3. 

The Cards hit seven times, including two home runs one for Ashley Barrett and Faith Song.  In the bottom of the 6th Kelsey Morgan stepped up to bat with three Cards on base and two outs in an attempt to get a run-Morgan had a full count with the runners waiting-and was struck out.  The Cardinals went 1-2-3 in the bottom of the 7th.

On the season the Cards move to 7-11 and 2-4 in the GLVC.  They will be traveling to Drury on March 22nd followed by Missouri S&T on the 23rd.
