Box Score 2 The William Jewell College softball team swept Lincoln University on Wednesday afternoon by scores of 5-3 and 12-0. Today also marked the team's annual Breast Cancer Awareness game.
In game one, Jewell's scored runs in the first, third, fifth and sixth innings.
Rachel Potvin scored in the first inning by a single from
Kelsey Morgan.
Faith Song scored in the third by a homer from
Kelsey Morgan, her eighth of the year. Song also delivered an RBI single in the fifth and the Cardinals last run came in the sixth by
Ashley Barrett who stole home.
The winning pitcher was
Rachel Hayden, who is now 10-4 on the season.
The Cards dominated the Blue Tigers in game two with a 12-0 score. Those scoring runs for the Cardinals were;

Faith Song (2),
Kelsey Morgan (2),
Brittany Madsen (2),
Kelsey Teneycke and
Melanie Golubski. Barrett, Morgan and Madsen all homered in the second game.
Faith Song earned the win, and improved to 6-9 on the season.
The Cardinals, 18-16 on the season will return to Great Lakes Valley Conference action on Friday, April 11 as they travel to Romeoville, Ill., to take on Lewis University. First pitch is slated for 2:00 p.m.
