The William Jewell College men's basketball team earned perhaps their biggest win of the season in a 69-60 upset over the University of Missouri-St. Louis Saturday afternoon in Great Lakes Valley Conference play. Jewell improves to 9-10 overall and 5-6 in the GLVC. 
The Cardinals opened up the game on an 11-2 run, but the Tritons were quickly able to fight their way back into the game, going on a 17-6 run, taking the lead 19-17. The Cardinals were able to close out the half on top, however, going to the locker room up 33-30.
The second half opened up in a shootout. The teams traded baskets, until the Cardinals were able to go on a 7-0 run with 9 minutes left. After a comeback attempt from the Tritons, the Cardinals were able to hold their ground.
Jordan Lewis put up 20 points to lead the team which is his fourth 20-point game this season.
D'Vante Mosby put up 10 points and picked up 10 rebounds, resulting in his fifth double-double of the year.
The Cardinals continue with conference play at home on Thursday, February 5 against Lewis University. The game is set to tip-off at 7:30 p.m.
