William Jewell College freshman
Alex Millhuff have been named the PNC Great Lakes Valley Conference Athlete of the Week in the sport of women's swimming and diving, it was announced by the league office on Wednesday.
This marks the second consecutive award for the William Jewell women's program.
Milhuff won the 100 and 500 freestyle events, as well as both 400 medley and freestyle relays last week at the annual Citrus Classic in Mesa, Arizona. She touched the wall first in the 100 free in 56:15 and finished first in the 500 free in 5:23.22. The 400 medley relay team posted a winning time of 4:21.41, while the 400 free relay placed first in 3:54.05.
This is Milhuff's first career award and the first for a Cardinal since
Maggie Metz won the league's last weekly award on Dec. 23, 2014.
