INDIANAPOLIS – McKendree University senior hurdler Irma Maciukaite and William Jewell College senior multi-event specialist Margaret Perko have been respectively named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, it was announced by the conference office Wednesday.

Perko won the pentathlon at the Carol Robinson Pentathlon hosted by Kansas State University last week with a score of 3,427 points.  Her score is a new school record and a NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark.  With that effort, Perko is currently ranked eighth in the nation and first in the league.

The Carlisle, Massachusetts, native earns her second career award as she was also the last Cardinal recognized by the league on Feb.25, 2015.
