In the final regular season contest of the season, the William Jewell College men's basketball team was able to score points in bunches to beat the Rockhurst Hawks, 87-64. This puts Jewell at 13-13 (9-9 GLVC) on the year.
On a very special Senior night, the Cardinals celebrated the final home games for four Seniors:
Clint McCullough, Christian Hildebrant,
Cyril Bilong, and
Jordan Lewis. The Seniors combined for 38 of Jewell's 87 points.
Four of Jewell's players reached double-digits in points; Lewis and
D'Vante Mosby each put up 18 points.
Patrick Whelan had 17, and Hildebrandt had 13. Hildebrandt also pulled in 5 rebounds, which was the highest among Jewell's players.
The Cardinals shot 57.1% from the field, which included 14 three-pointers. Jewell's largest lead of the contest was 26 points.
The Cardinals return to action on Sunday, as they travel to the University of Missouri- St. Louis in the first round of the GLVC Tournament. Tip off is slated for 3.00 p.m.
