The William Jewell College men's basketball team finished off their home stand with a match up against No. 14 University of Wisconsin- Parkside, losing 68-59. The loss puts the Cards at 9-12 overall and 5-8 GLVC.
After a promising Jewell lead with 14 minutes left in the first only to see the Rangers fight back and take the lead, which they held until the final buzzer. The score at half was 33-28.
In the second half, the Cardinals tried to fight their way back into the game, and did close the gap to only one point. The Rangers then went on a 22-9 run late in the half, which ultimately gave them the winning margin.Â
Jordan Lewis had 22 points for Jewell including four three-pointers while
D'Vante Mosby posted yet another double double with 12 points and 13 rebounds.
The Cardinals embark on a four game road trip starting Thursday, Februray 12 at the University of Illinois- Springfield. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
