The William Jewell College baseball team fell 4-3 today in a Great Lakes Valley Conference game against University of Missouri-St. Louis in St. Louis, Mo.
Jewell moves to 23-7 overall and 14-5 in the GLVC after winning five of their last six games.
UMSL used a four run sixth to take control of the game.
Luke Lucchetti went 5-5 and was on third base with two outs in the ninth before the Tritons shut the door on the Cards.
Austin Kretchmar (7-1) suffered his first defeat of 2015 giving up nine hits in seven innings of work.
Jewell will continue the weekend series with UMSL with a doubleheader tomorrow beginning at 12:00 p.m.
