As Indianapolis raced to try to get off the court and celebrate their win, the referees headed to the monitors to review the play. Minutes later, they declared the shot no good as the Greyhound player did not release the ball prior to the clock expiring, causing the Mabee Center would erupt in cheers.
Unfortunately for the Cardinals, Indianapolis would outscore Jewell in overtime 17-10 en route to their 96-89 victory.
