Perko Earns Weekly GLVC Honor


INDIANAPOLIS – University of Southern Indiana sophomore distance runner Emily Roberts and William Jewell College senior multi-event specialist Margaret Perko have been respectively named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women's Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, it was announced Wednesday by the conference office.

Perko was fifth in the heptathlon at the Drake Relays this past week. She scored an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying standard of 4791 points.  She currently ranks 13th among in Division II. 

A native of Carlisle, Massachusetts, Perko earns the third weekly honor of her career as she was also recognized on April 13, 2016 and April 2, 2015.
