Patrick Whelan on their final possession and he came through in a big way driving in and drawing a foul as his layup went in. Whelan converted on the free throw to give Jewell a 97-95 lead with 11 seconds left.
After advancing to mid-court Graceland called time-out with eight seconds to play. The Yellowjackets then were able to find Cimino open on the far wing and his three-point attempt found nothing but the bottom of the net with .04 seconds remaining and they would hang on from there.

Cimino led the Yellowjackets with 20 including three of Graceland's 14 three pointers on the evening.
