GAME ONE | Cardinals 3 - UMSL 14
In the opener, the Tritons jumped on top early, leading 8-0 after just 2.5 innings of play, including hitting two three-run home runs. In the bottom of the third, Madelynne Greenstreet doubled and was followed by a Madi Giles single. Both runners came around to score on Emily Hoover's home run to right center field, the eighth of the season for the freshman, to make it 8-3.

The Tritons tacked on one run in the the fourth and fifth innings before scoring four more in the top of the sixth to end the game in a run-rule.

The Cardinals were out hit 11-6, led by two from Giles.

Greenstreet (1-3) took the loss going just two innings of work. The Cardinals used three pitchers in the contest who combined to allow 11 hits, eight earned runs, and eight walks, while Jewell also committed three errors.

GAME TWO | Cardinals 0 - UMSL 5
With all the large numbers in game one, the night cap was just the opposite as the Cardinal's Anna Biondo and UMSL's CoCo Caraway were locked in a pitchers duel until the seventh inning.

Through the first six frames, each team posted four hits, and left five runners on base, while committing no errors.

In the top of the seventh, the Tritons posted five runs on four hits and took advantage of a key Cardinal error to take a 5-0 lead. Jewell put a runner on base in the bottom of the frame, in Lindsay Glynn (walk), but were unable to plate a run.

The Cards were limited to just four hits, one a piece from Giles, Glynn, Brooke Bernard, and Taylor Alarcon

Biondo (9-4) took the loss despite allowing just one earned run on eight hits.
