William Jewell senior Blake Alexander has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week, as announced by the league office on Tuesday. 

Alexander posted two winning times over the weekend at the MIAA/NSIC Challenge in Maryville, Mo. The senior won the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.23 which is ranked first in the GLVC and sixth in all of NCAA II this season. He also captured the 400-meter hurdles race with a mark of 53.86, which also leads the conference in 2017. 

This is the second outdoor weekly honor of Alexander's career.
