The William Jewell football team dropped a 59-21 decision at Missouri S&T on Saturday afternoon in Rolla, Missouri. The loss drops the Cardinals to 1-5 on the season and 1-3 in Great Lakes Valley Conference play. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• 2Q (6:23) - Missouri S&T got a field goal followed by touchdowns on the first six drives of the game to take an early 38-0 lead.  
• 2Q (2:27) - Will Schneider connected with Damari Wilson for a 20-yard catch to put Jewell on the board late in the first half. (38-7, MST)
• The Miners added two more scores before the half to take a 45-7 advantage into the break. 
• 3Q (8:56) - The Cardinals moved down the field with five completions, followed by a two-yard run by Schneider to find the end zone with less than nine minutes remaining in the third quarter. (52-14)
• 4Q (8:44) - Schneider tossed his second passing touchdown of the day, this time to Keelon Vann for 53 yards, followed by a successful PAT from Dalton Dye. (59-21)

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• The Cardinals posted 192 passing yards and 91 rushing, compared to 397 and 168 respectively by the Miners. 
• Jewell averaged 4.3 yards per rush compared to 4.0 by Missouri S&T. 
• The Cards had just 15 first downs while the Miners posted 25.
