The William Jewell volleyball team again played some of their best volleyball of the season in recent weeks but on Saturday dropped a 3-0 decision at Indianapolis. The Cardinals fall to 8-19 overall and 2-12 in league play. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Set One: The Cardinals fell behind by as many as six in the opener, before making a rally. Trailing 21-14, Jewell went on a 7-3 run to close the gap to 24-21 before eventually falling by four. 
• Set Two: Set two was a back-and-fourth affair of epic proportions. Neither team was able to take more than a three point lead throughout the stanza and were tied 15 times. Knotted at 28, the Greyhounds managed to score back-to-back points and win the set 30-28. 
• Set Three: The Cardinals jumped out to a four-point lead early in the final set behind three kills from Megan Rhule. They Greyhounds did not go quietly however, tying the set at 22. Consecutive kills by Jenna Rau gave Jewell set point but UIndy took advantage of two errors and scored the final three points to take the set 26-24. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• The Cardinals had 41 kills and just 16 errors on the afternoon, but UIndy posted an attack percentage of .264 with 58 kills to lead the way. 
• Jewell won the battle at the net with six blocks to just three by the Greyhounds.
