A late rally pushed Central Missouri past the William Jewell men's basketball teams, 78-75 on Friday evening in Warrensburg, Missouri. With the loss the Cardinals drop to 1-4 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- 1stHalf: The Cardinals started fast, jumping out to an eight-point lead after a three from Nick Bradley. Jewell continued their hot opening half, taking their largest lead of the night at 10 following a jumper from Keith Hayes with just over three minutes to go. The Mules cut the lead to three but two three pointers from Jackson Golightly and Eysan Wiley pushed the advantage back to five at the break.
- 2ndHalf: Central Missouri wasted little time getting back into the game in the second half, taking a three-point lead at the 11:06 mark. The two teams battled the remainder of the half, with neither taking more than a four-point lead. Jewell trailed by just one with under 90 seconds to play but could not convert and were forced to foul to close the game.

- Jewell shot over 48 percent from the floor and better than 53 percent from behind the three-point line while holding UCM to just 35 percent.
