The William Jewell baseball team dropped a midweek contest at Central Missouri 14-2 on Tuesday afternoon in Warrensburg, Mo. The loss drops the Cardinals to 3-3 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- T1: Jewell got on the board early as Chase Redick walked to score Ben Pautler, who reached on a fielding error. (1-0, Jewell)
- B1: UCM responded with seven runs in the bottom of the frame on six hits. (7-1, UCM)
- B2: The Mules added four runs in the bottom of the second on four hits and a Cardinal error. (11-1, UCM)
- T6: Two singles and a walk loaded the bases for Austin Kline who reached on a fielder's choice, allowing Christian Chalabi to score. (11-2, UCM)Â
