The William Jewell College women's tennis team downed Quincy University 7-2 to earn their first Great Lakes Valley Conference win of the season. 

How It Happened
The Cards came out of doubles play up 2-1 with wins from Clare Mackay and Becca Richison at No. 1 doubles (8-4) and from Hannah Waine and Whitney Holloman at No. 3 doubles (8-1). 

Jewell took five of the six singles matches in straight sets only giving up 10 total games in the five wins. 

What's Next
The Cardinals will continue GLVC play when they take on Truman State University on Saturday at 12:00 p.m.  Saturday will also be senior day where Jewell will honor senior Claire Mackay.
