William Jewell center fielder
Madi Giles has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week as announced by the league Monday afternoon.
Giles enjoyed a big senior weekend leading the Cardinals to four wins, including a sweep of No. 20 Indianapolis on Sunday. On the weekend she hit .533, with an RBI, two stolen bases, five runs, and four doubles, including three in a 5-for-5 effort in game two against the Greyhounds. The senior added 12 total bases, a .588 on base percentage, and an .800 slugging percentage. She capped the weekend by recording her 61st career double to become Jewell's all-time leader.
