The William Jewell volleyball dropped Tuesday's matchup vs. the 17th ranked Jennies of Central Missouri, 3-0. The loss moves Jewell to 3-13 on the season while Central Missouri moves to 13-4. 

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• Set One: A kill from Lily Johnson tied the match at seven early in the first frame. Seventeen kills pushed Central Missouri past Jewell in the first set by the score of 25-14. 
• Set Two: Lauren Castaneda set up teammate Grace Baucom to get the Cardinals on the board early in set two. Later in the set Castaneda and Baucom connected again to bring the Cardinals within three points and give Jewell some life. UCM got things rolling again and took the frame by a score of 25-16. 
• Set Three: Kills from Paityn Hardison and Maddie Wingert kept the Cardinals close in the third frame. The Jennies kept its momentum rolling and won the final set by the score of 25-16.

• The Cardinals were held to a .060 attack percentage while the Jennies hit .328. 
• Jewell posted 56 digs, compared to 59 by the Jennies.

UP NEXT 
The Cardinals will remain at home this week and take on Great Lakes Valley competition both Friday night and Saturday afternoon. On Friday night Bellarmine University comes to Liberty for a 7:00 p.m. start time. The Cardinals will then take on the University of Southern Indiana at 3:00 on Saturday afternoon.
