William Jewell's Tyrell Jeffries has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week, as announced by the league office Wednesday. 

The sophomore lowered his 100 meter dash time to 10.98 which ranks fifth in the GLVC this season. He finished eighth in the 100 at last weekend's Darrell Gourley Open. 

This is the first weekly honor of Jeffries career, and the first for the Cardinals since Blake Alexander in May 2017.
