How it Happened
  • With the score tied at 13 in the opening set, Ohio Dominican scored three consecutive points to separate themselves late. The Panthers scored nine of the final 13 points to take the opener.
  • After falling in to an early three-point hole the Cardinals rallied behind two kills and a block from Maddie Wingert to go up by three, 13-10. Jewell outscored ODU just 12-9 the rest of the way but held on to tie the match.
  • Set three was a back-and-forth affair until Jewell got kills from Tori Vogt and Grace Baucom to pull ahead by four. The Panthers responded and tied the set at 24 before getting a block from Vogt and Elizabeth Quinn and a kill from Wingert to take the win.
  • The fourth set was another tight one until the Panthers committed six errors, combined with  two Jewell kills to push the Cardinals in from 20-14 on their way to the victory.
