The William Jewell men's basketball team enjoyed one of their most efficient offensive performances of the season on Saturday which ended in a 77-71 win over Missouri S&T. The win moves the Cardinals to 8-10 on the year and 3-7 in league play. 

How it Happened

• The Cardinals and Missouri S&T traded points for the opening 10 minutes of play before Jewell made some separation. Trailing 18-16, Nick Bradley hit a three point shot that sparked a 12-0 run to put Jewell on top by 10.  With 4:17 remaining in the opening half Eysan Wiley scored five straight points to give the Cardinals their biggest lead of the day at 14.
• The Miners came out of the locker room fast and eventually took the lead, 48-47, with just over 10 minutes to play. Jewell responded with a 17-8 run to push their lead back to nine. Missouri S&T got within three with under a minute on the clock but the Cardinals connected on 3-of-4 free throws to secure the win. 

For the Cardinals

• Wiley posted game highs with 26 points and 15 rebounds. Jackson Golightly finished with 19, Bradley 18, and Mason Alexander 14. 
• The Cardinals shot 49 percent from the field and 53 percent from three while committing just 10 turnovers. 
   

For the Miners

• Dulan Scott finished with 24 points and seven rebounds to lead Missouri S&T. 
• Mitch Fairless added 16 points. 
• The Miners grabbed eight offensive rebounds which led to 17 points.
