Quincy University used a furious second-half rally to down the William Jewell women's basketball team by a final of 59-47. The loss drops Jewell to 5-6 on the season and 1-2 in Great Lakes Valley Conference play. 

How it Happened

• The Cardinals started strong, jumping out to a 12-6 lead after one quarter behind four points from Macyn Wilbers. 
• Quincy opened the second period with a 7-2 run to pull within one but a three by Ainsley Tolson ended the run. Jewell held a 22-21 advantage at the break. 
• The Hawks started the third quarter but like they did the second as they put together a 14-4 run and held a nine point lead heading into the final 10 minutes. 
• Back-to-back buckets from Tolson and Kiara Bradley to pull with four with just over six minutes remaining but could get no closer. 

For the Cardinals

• Bradley lead Jewell with 16 points and nine rebounds, including five on the offensive end. 
• Tolson added 10 points. 
• The Cardinals dominated the paint, outscoring Quincy 26-16. 

For the Hawks

• Laney Lantz and Jessica Merino each scored 16 points to lead Quincy while Ella Gobald added 12. 
• The Hawks held Jewell to 27% shooting.
