How it Happened
- Jewell got off to a hot start, jumping out to an 11-4 lead behind three three pointers in the opening three minutes. With the Cardinals leading 26-22, UMSL went on a 10-0 run to go on top by six. Four points by Deandre Raggshelped keep things close as Jewell trailed 41-37 at the break.
- The Tritons expanded their lead to as many as 21 late in the second half as the Cardinals shot just 25% from the field in the final 20 minutes.
For the Cardinals
- Nick Bradley led the Cardinals with 12 points on 4-of-6 from three.
- Wiley added a double-double of 10 points and 12 rebounds.
- Jewell pulled downed seven offensive rebounds, leading to 11 points.
For the Tritons
- Yaakema Rose led all scorers with 23 while Steve Webb had 14.
- The Tritons shot 52% from the field and scored 48 points in the paint.
